The WK1 is the new Arranger Keyboard by GEM
dedicated to musicians who want a modern,
technologically advanced, easy-to-use instrument.
The WK1 offers
460 PCM sounds, including 17 drum kits, to suit just
about any style of music. 16-part multitimbral, with a
max 32-note polyphony, programmable split and the
ability to layer 2 sounds together, the WK1 lets you
create rich and modern sound textures. The WK1
contains 2 independent digital effects processors with
22 reverbs and 22 effects, with separate send levels
for each track. The arranger section of the WK1
contains 96 new styles with 4 variations each - made
up of 5 tracks (Drums, Bass, Acc.1/2/3) - plus 8
user-programmable styles. You can also memorize any
configuration of sounds, styles, effects, etc. in 63
dedicated Performances that can be instantly recalled
whenever you need them in the future. The WK1 is
equipped with a practical sequencer that lets you
record up to 7 Song Styles. The sequencer is
compatible with the widespread Standard Midi Files
type 0, 1 and 1+lyrics. The useful built-in disk drive
lets you save songs and performances on floppy disks
to create your own unlimited library. Moreover, the
wide display lets you view the karaoke-style lyrics
synchronized to the songs you listen to, making your
music a completely new and exciting experience. The
versatile internal 6W+6W stereo amplification system
gives perfect voice to the WK1 wide array of
instrumental sounds.
